1. Welcome to Mpa Beat

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Artist", or "Customer") and Mpa Beat ("we", "us", or "the Platform"), operating in Kampala, Uganda. By accessing, browsing, uploading, streaming, purchasing, or downloading content through Mpa Beat, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Account Registration and Security

Users may browse and stream preview samples without an account. However, creating an account is required to upload music, build personalized libraries, write comments, or download purchased high-fidelity master tracks. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.

3. Music Uploads and Artist Warranties

Mpa Beat operates in accordance with the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act, 2006 (Uganda), as amended, and applicable international copyright instruments. Under that Act, copyright protects original musical, literary, and artistic works, while neighbouring rights protect performances, sound recordings, and broadcasts.

When uploading music, beats, stems, or audio masters to Mpa Beat, you warrant and represent that:

• You are the copyright owner or a licensed rights holder of the musical work, lyrics, sound recording, and artwork, or you hold verified written authorization from every relevant rights holder.
• You have obtained all necessary clearances for samples, beats, featured artists, producers, labels, publishers, and collective management organizations.
• Your uploaded content does not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property, trademark, privacy, or moral rights.
• You have not uploaded another person's work, remix, DJ mix, leak, or unlicensed derivative without lawful permission.
• You grant Mpa Beat a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, transcode, stream, and distribute the audio solely in accordance with your specified pricing configuration.

Uploading content that you do not own or are not authorized to distribute is a serious legal and platform violation. It may result in immediate removal of the work, suspension or termination of your account, and possible civil or criminal liability under Ugandan law.

4. Pricing Models: Free Downloads and Direct Purchases

Mpa Beat provides creators full sovereign control over monetization. Artists choose during upload whether a track is:

• Free: Openly accessible for high-speed direct MP3/WAV download by registered fans and music lovers at UGX 0.
• Direct Purchase (UGX 500 or UGX 1,000): Accessible after secure instant mobile transaction verification via MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money. Once verified, the purchaser is granted permanent personal listening and download access.

5. Royalties and Creator Payouts

Artist earnings accumulate in your verified creator balance upon successful payment settlement. Creators may request withdrawals directly to their registered Ugandan phone numbers. Payout requests are processed within 24 business hours following automated ledger verification.

6. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following actions result in immediate suspension and removal without refund:

• Uploading unlicensed bootlegs, unauthorized DJ mixtapes of copyrighted tracks, or uncredited instrumentals.
• Engaging in automated streaming manipulation, artificial play inflation, or bot-driven traffic generation.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract raw master assets outside designated platform interfaces.

7. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising out of or related to platform operations shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation in Kampala before seeking court intervention.
